Special offer! Products with the best margins for Christmas
As we pass into December, it is time to make the most of customers spending ahead of the holidays between now and the new year – including the biggest retail event in the UK, Christmas. Although the start of December isn’t traditionally the best time for retailers to be implementing change, making tweaks to your strategy as you go will help you to keep driving profits up.
As your time is precious right now, this post is deliberately short. To help you boost your sales, diversify your inventory and to generally make the most of the next couple of weeks, we’ve done some work. If you’re signed up and you receive our emails, you’ll probably have received an email about this already – but just in case you’ve missed that, we’re telling you about it here too.
Special deals from our suppliers
As you know, in order to make the best possible profits on your DropShipping activity, you need low prices from your suppliers. We’ve liaised with each of our Avasam suppliers to secure special offers that mean even lower prices on hundreds of products – allowing you to get better profits on each product you sell, without increasing prices on your sales channels. Of course, if you want to reduce your price to secure even more sales, with lower prices from suppliers, you can do so and still maintain a pretty decent margin.
You can see the range of products that are on special offer here, and you can also log into your Avasam account to see products marked as special deals.
These deals are time-bound, and prices will be valid until December 18th, after which suppliers are likely to revert their prices to higher levels again – so make the most of them.
Automation
We know the 18th of December is still peak season and it is pretty likely – especially if you’ve got your own warehouse – that you’ll be too busy to think about changing prices manually at this point. Once you’ve sourced the products with special offers, set up pricing rules.
Using pricing rules will ensure that you can avoid potentially selling at a loss after the deals end.
Bespoke service
If you want to add all of our products that are on offer to your inventory and sales channels, but don’t have the time to implement it yourself, you don’t have to miss out. Our team are standing by to help you with this, so book a quick call and we’ll sort it out for you – it only takes a few minutes but saves you hassle. Of course, if you have any other issues, we can help you tackle those too.
Communications
To help remind you that you need to change prices, we’ll be sending a reminder notification five days before the prices are set back to their previous level. You’ll also be able to see products that are due to change back to a higher price in the Avasam Settings and Inventory logs. You’ll see a small red ‘up’ arrow next to the price in the catalogue search and product description pages too.
Just a note…
While we’re helping you to sell more during this incredibly busy time, don’t forget that marketplaces like Amazon and eBay are going to be hotter than ever on sellers that make mistakes. As we’ve mentioned before, if your seller account is relatively new, then use caution when you’re considering listing in bulk. If you list too much, too quickly, your seller account is likely to be restricted – which is definitely not what you need at any time, let alone in peak golden quarter.
By offering you better prices from our suppliers, you’ll be able to maximise your profits during the last few weeks of the peak season. While 2020 has been tough for almost all of us, we can help you kick off 2021 with a little more sparkle in your sales figures at least!
During this busy period, we’ll be looking at ways that you can optimise your eCommerce business in the new year, and coming up with some useful advice and guidance for you to get stuck into when January rolls around and you’re planning your strategy for 2021. Until then, we hope you sell well and stay well – and that the 2020 holiday period is kind to you!
